Event Based Staff

Job Overview

We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to join our event-based food cart team. This role involves assisting with the setup, service, and breakdown of a mobile food cart at festivals, private events, markets, and corporate functions. Team members will interact with guests, prepare beverages or light menu items, and help ensure a smooth and enjoyable event experience.

Key Responsibilities

Event Setup

• Transport and assist with unloading food cart equipment and supplies
• Set up cart, tables, signage, and service area according to event layout
• Prepare ingredients, beverage stations, and serving materials
• Ensure cleanliness and organization before service begins

Service During Event

• Take customer orders and provide friendly customer service
• Prepare and serve menu items such as beverages, snacks, or specialty drinks
• Maintain a clean and organized cart and workspace
• Handle basic cash/card transactions when required
• Monitor inventory and communicate when restocking is needed

Event Wind-Down / Breakdown

• Clean equipment, utensils, and service surfaces
• Properly pack and store remaining supplies
• Assist with dismantling the cart and loading equipment
• Ensure the event area is left clean and compliant with venue requirements

Preferred / Special Skills

Candidates with the following skills are highly encouraged to apply:

• Barista experience (espresso machines, specialty coffee preparation, latte art)
• Mocktail bartender experience (non-alcoholic drink crafting, drink presentation)
• Food service or hospitality experience
• Ability to work in fast-paced event environments
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (equipment and supplies)
• Comfortable standing for extended periods during events
• Reliable transportation to event locations
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
• Food safety certification (preferred but not required)
