This position performs technical duties in the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems.
Examples of Duties
Installs, modifies and repairs HVAC, electrical, plumbing and emergency power generation systems.
Inspects HVAC equipment prior to seasonal changes.
Identifies and coordinates the repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
Schedules, coordinates and monitors the work of contractors.
Ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations.
Repairs and replaces locks; has keys made; maintains key inventory.
Responds to after-hours emergencies.
Disables and enables fire alarms and smoke exhaust fan systems for events with smoke, etc.
Maintains equipment and supply inventory; makes purchases as needed.
Prepares annual operations and capital improvement budget recommendations.
Maintains fuel oil inventory; makes purchases as needed.
Prepares maintenance records.
Maintains assigned tools and equipment.
Purchases parts and supplies as needed.
Performs related duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Dakota for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
