Event Driver / Logistics Operator (Must Have Own Van or Truck) – Ice Cream Catering

Responsibilities

• Safely operate your own van or truck to transport ice cream products and catering equipment to multiple event sites
• Load and unload supplies, ensuring all items are secured and handled with care during transit
• Execute route driving efficiently, adhering to scheduled timelines and traffic regulations
• Assist with heavy lifting and moving of equipment, boxes, and supplies using appropriate tools such as pallet jacks or forklifts when available
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging professionally with clients and event staff upon delivery
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports
• Follow safety protocols for driving, loading, unloading, and handling products to ensure a secure work environment

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or similar vehicles
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and possessing a valid driver’s license suitable for your vehicle type (manual transmission experience is a plus)
• Prior warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly in a fast-paced environment
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other moving equipment is desirable but not mandatory
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally during interactions
• Demonstrated reliability in route driving, load & unload procedures, and punctuality
