Event & Floral Associate

Beneva Flowers produces high-end weddings and events throughout Sarasota, creating unforgettable experiences through exceptional floral design, event production, and seamless execution. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on team member to support both our floral operations and event production teams.

This role combines warehouse operations, floral processing, inventory management, event logistics, and on-site event support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically active, and comfortable working behind the scenes preparing for events as well as representing the company professionally at venues and client events.

What You'll Do

Floral Processing & Inventory

• Unpack, inspect, and process incoming flower and greenery shipments.
• Trim, clean, hydrate, and condition flowers to maximize freshness and longevity.
• Monitor flower quality and report damaged or unusable product.
• Properly store flowers, greenery, and supplies in coolers and designated storage areas.
• Maintain organized floral inventory and notify management of low stock levels.
• Prepare flowers, supplies, containers, and tools for designers.
• Keep floral processing areas clean, sanitized, and organized.

Warehouse & Event Preparation

• Pull and stage rentals, hardgoods, floral containers, tools, and event materials for upcoming events.
• Prepare and accurately load vans and event vehicles using logistics sheets and checklists.
• Maintain organized warehouse inventory systems and storage areas.
• Clean, inspect, and restock rentals and event materials following events.
• Support inventory control efforts and help minimize loss or damage.

Event Production & Execution

• Assist with wedding and event setup, installation, and breakdown.
• Transport and install floral arrangements, décor, rentals, and event materials.
• Work professionally on-site alongside clients, planners, vendors, and venue staff.
• Support event timelines and ensure smooth execution of event logistics.
• Help maintain the high-quality standards expected for luxury weddings and events.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support successful event execution and overall team operations.

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license required.
• Weekend availability required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, calm, and positive demeanor under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions while also working independently.
• Experience in floral design, floral processing, warehouse operations, logistics, hospitality, rentals, or event production is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of flower care, conditioning techniques, or event production is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in floral coolers and cold storage areas.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as trimming, cleaning, loading, and organizing materials.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions during event installations.
