Event Lead — Mobile Coffee Cart

Pulo Coffee is a specialty coffee cart catering company based in Los Angeles, delivering a premium café experience at brand activations, corporate events, and film production sets. We combine craftsmanship and creativity through expertly made espresso classics and signature drinks inspired by global flavors.

About the role

You'll run our mobile coffee cart from start to finish — logistics, setup, service, and breakdown. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in both their craft and the experience they create for guests.

Expect roughly 12 events per month. While service itself typically runs about 2 hours, full days run 8–12 hours including warehouse prep, travel, setup, and breakdown.

As we grow, this role has the potential to evolve into a core operations position.

What you'll do

• Lead all aspects of event execution from warehouse to breakdown
• Transport, set up, and break down the coffee cart and equipment
• Dial in espresso and maintain consistent drink quality throughout service
• Create a warm, professional guest experience in high-volume settings
• Oversee and support an assistant barista when applicable
• Manage guest flow and keep service running smoothly during peak periods
• Communicate with event coordinators and clients on-site as needed
• Track inventory before and after each event and flag restock needs
• Complete post-event reports covering drink counts, equipment feedback, and operational notes
• Make real-time decisions independently to keep events running seamlessly

What we're looking for

• Genuine hospitality instincts and confidence engaging with diverse guests
• Barista experience, including espresso preparation and drink crafting
• Ability to lead a small team and operate independently without supervision
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail under pressure
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible — including weekend availability
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, clean driving record, and ability to travel to events across Southern California
• Comfortable lifting and moving 60+ lbs

Nice to have

• Experience with La Marzocco equipment
• Background in mobile coffee, catering, or events
• Food handler certification

Compensation & schedule

• $25–$35/hr + tips, depending on experience and event type
• Part-time, event-based scheduling (~12 events/month)
• Full days typically 8–12 hours including travel and warehouse time
• Paid training provided
