Event Marketing & Lead Generation Manager (Weekend Availability Required)

Job Overview

We are seeking an organized, high-energy Event Marketing & Lead Generation Manager to run our face-to-face customer acquisition program. This position perfectly balances vital administrative logistics at a computer with active leadership in the field.

You will oversee our entire event footprint—handling the backend scheduling, logistics, and venue bookings during the week, and leading from the front on the weekends at major home shows, community events, and established retail partnerships (like our Walmart Showroom). Your ultimate metric of success is simple: filling our sales consultants' calendars with qualified homeowner appointments.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Target Earnings (OTE): $60,000 - $75,000+ per year
  • Guaranteed Base Salary: $1,000 per week (Based on a 5.5-day event/logistics schedule)
  • Uncapped Performance Bonuses: $5 per qualified demo set (when a sales consultant presents to the homeowner).
  • Volume Commission: 0.15% (0.0015) commission on net sales generated from your events.
  • Special Mega-Event Incentives: Specialized high-volume bonus structures apply for major events like the RI Home Show.
  • Note: Performance eligibility requires maintaining a team baseline of at least 1 demo per 8 hours worked. Program terms subject to change with 30 days' notice.

Key Responsibilities

Office Logistics & Administration (Computer-Based)

  • Show & Retail Booking: Research, negotiate, and book upcoming home shows, expos, local events, and retail placements to secure prime real estate for RIHI.
  • Staff Scheduling & Confirmation: Build, manage, and confirm weekly schedules for our team of Brand Ambassadors, ensuring 100% coverage at all events and retail locations.
  • Training Program Development: Onboard new hires and develop training materials, scripts, and pitch guidelines to ensure the team is equipped to confidently engage homeowners and generate high-quality leads.
  • Lead Generation Strategy & Tracking: Review daily and weekly event metrics, track cost-per-lead, and analyze data to optimize conversion rates. Ensure the entire team is consistently hitting the performance baseline of 1 demo per 8 hours worked.
  • Inventory Control: Track and manage the production of marketing materials, booth setups, and promotional items.

Field Leadership & Execution (On-Site)

  • Active Lead Generation & Pitching: Lead by example on the event floor. Actively engage with homeowners, deliver compelling presentations, and personally generate qualified leads and set appointments to drive the sales pipeline.
  • Hands-On Training & Live Coaching: Conduct live, on-the-floor training and roleplay sessions with Brand Ambassadors. Coach the team in real-time on overcoming objections, building rapport, and mastering the RIHI pitch to maximize lead conversion.
  • Team Performance & Accountability: Monitor team performance in real-time, ensuring staff maintain high energy, punctuality, professionalism, and strict adherence to company pitching standards.
  • Event Oversight: Coordinate the physical setup, breakdown, and logistics of event booths, ensuring high-quality, professional brand representation.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in event marketing, field sales, or face-to-face customer acquisition. Prior experience managing logistics, schedules, or event bookings is highly preferred.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable working on a computer to manage schedules, track data, communicate with staff, and handle email logistics.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work a 5.5-day work week that consistently includes weekends (when the highest-volume home shows and retail traffic occur).
  • Physical Ability: Ability to handle the physical demands of event logistics, including booth setup, breakdown, and standing for extended periods.
  • Driver's License: Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel to retail locations and event venues across the region.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance

Application Question(s):

  • This position requires a 5.5-day work week that consistently includes working weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), as these are peak times for home shows and retail traffic. Are you fully available and willing to work this schedule?
  • Do you have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation to travel to various event venues and retail locations (like our Walmart locations) across the region?
  • How many years of experience do you have in face-to-face lead generation, event marketing, field sales, or retail promotions?
  • This role is judged on results—specifically, filling our sales consultants' calendars with qualified appointments. In 2–3 sentences, what is your approach to engaging a busy homeowner walking past a booth who didn't plan on talking to a home improvement company today?
  • You will be responsible for training and managing a team of Brand Ambassadors. Briefly describe your experience training staff on how to pitch, overcome objections, or hit lead targets.
  • While you'll lead from the front in the field, you will also be on a computer managing schedules, booking events, and tracking lead data. Rate your comfort level with using technology/spreadsheets for logistics on a scale of 1–10, and briefly mention any scheduling software or tools you've used.
