Event Merchandise Sales - Tournament

Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Event Merchandise Sales staff for upcoming tournaments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with event attendees, promote merchandise, and enhance the overall event experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for sales, contributing to the success of our event operations.

Duties

• Greet event attendees in a friendly and professional manner
• Promote and sell merchandise related to the tournament, including apparel, accessories
• Assist customers with product inquiries and provide detailed information about merchandise items and help locate their size and available options
• Manage cash register operations, including processing transactions accurately
• Restock merchandise displays as needed to ensure attractive presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area throughout the event
• Engage with attendees to create a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat business
• Locations include Surf Sports Park Del Mar and Senior Sports Complex in Oceanside
• IMMEDIATE NEED - Surf Sports Park Del Mar, NOV 28-30, 2025

Requirements

• Prior experience in customer service or sales is preferred but not required; a friendly attitude and willingness to learn are essential
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and cash handling efficiently
• Flexibility to work during event hours, which will include weekends or evenings depending on the tournament schedule
• Must be able to stand for extended periods during shifts
• A positive attitude, enthusiasm for sports or events, and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
• experience operating a heat press to personalize apparel would be helpful

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
