A to Z Rental in North Haven is seeking a Seasonal Event Rental Driver / Installer to support our growing event rental business. In this hands on, customer facing role, you will help load, unload, secure, deliver, install, and pick up event rental equipment for customer orders and event setups. You will also assist with warehouse, yard, and equipment support work as needed.

This is a strong entry level opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in doing things the right way, and wants to learn the rental business alongside an experienced team. No CDL is required.

Position overview

You will be responsible for delivering and installing event rental equipment safely and professionally while helping ensure that orders are accurate, equipment is clean and ready, and customers receive excellent service.

Principal responsibilities

• Load, unload, secure, deliver, install, and pick up event rental equipment
• Support event setup and breakdown at customer locations
• Perform detail inspections of equipment before delivery and upon return
• Help test, clean, and service equipment to ensure it is ready for the next job
• Demonstrate proper use and handling of equipment to customers when needed
• Assist with preventive maintenance and minor repairs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Support warehouse, yard, and equipment operations as business needs require
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and management to meet schedules and customer demand

Basic qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull at least 75 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures, manuals, and safety labels
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Preferred qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus
• Good time management and communication skills
• Familiarity with safe equipment handling and transport practices

Schedule

• Day shift within our Monday through Saturday business hours
• Longer days and weekend work may be required during the busy season

Compensation

• $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, based on experience
