The Marq Banquet & Catering is seeking dependable and energetic individuals to join our Event Operations Team. This hands-on position is responsible for event setup, custodial duties, facility upkeep, and assisting with smooth event execution.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event layouts and specifications.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, décor, staging, and equipment.
• Assist with event breakdown and proper storage of supplies and equipment.
• Perform custodial and facility maintenance duties to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
• Vacuum carpets, mop floors, clean windows and glass surfaces, remove trash, and complete general cleaning tasks throughout the facility.
• Stock supplies and maintain organization in banquet rooms, storage areas, and service stations.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns or safety issues.
• Support food service operations with buffet setup, catering assistance, and light kitchen preparation when needed.
• Work alongside fellow team members to ensure events exceed guest expectations.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience in hospitality, banquet operations, custodial work, restaurants, or catering is preferred, but not required.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout a shift.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Willingness to learn and take pride in producing high-quality work.

Schedule

• Part-time position.
• Hours and shifts vary based on scheduled events.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $1.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience

Expected Hours: Vary based on scheduled events
