Help lead the setup and execution of professional live events across Arizona.


About the Role

Centric Events is seeking a dependable and motivated Event Setup Lead & Driver to help execute corporate events, conferences, and live productions throughout Arizona.

This role combines event setup leadership, equipment transport, and hands-on event production support. You will be responsible for safely transporting equipment, leading load-ins and setups, and supporting event teams onsite to ensure projects are executed professionally and efficiently.

Event Setup Leads play a critical role in the success of every production. They help ensure trucks are packed correctly, equipment arrives safely, and setups are completed on time.

This role requires someone who is organized, reliable, and comfortable taking ownership of tasks while working alongside the rest of the team.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Equipment Transport & Driving

  • Safely driving cargo vans and box trucks up to 26’ to and from event sites
  • Ensuring equipment is loaded, secured, and transported properly
  • Managing load-ins and load-outs safely and efficiently
  • Operating company vehicles safely and representing Centric professionally while traveling to and from event sites

Event Setup & Execution

  • Leading setup and strike of lighting, audio, staging, and event rental equipment
  • Supporting production teams during installations
  • Helping ensure events are built according to project plans

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Assisting with directing event crew during load-ins and strikes
  • Communicating clearly with event leads and project managers
  • Maintaining a professional presence with clients and venues

This is a hands-on role. Everyone at Centric contributes to physical setup and teardown regardless of experience level.

Schedule Expectations

This role supports both warehouse preparation and field execution, including:

  • Daytime warehouse prep shifts
  • Weekday event setups
  • Evening and weekend events when scheduled
  • Occasional late-night strikes

Schedules vary depending on event production schedules.

Because live events depend on teamwork, reliability and punctuality are essential.


Qualifications

Required

  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
  • Comfortable with physical work and extended time on your feet
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to meet the company’s commercial auto insurance requirements
  • Comfortable driving cargo vans and box trucks up to 26’
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills


Helpful Experience (Not Required)

  • Event production or AV experience
  • Experience driving box trucks or trailers
  • Event setup or staging experience
  • Hospitality or customer service experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems during live events

We are happy to train motivated team members who want to grow in the event production industry.


Compensation

$20–$25 per hour depending on experience

  • Paid biweekly via direct deposit
  • Opportunities to grow into advanced production roles
  • Opportunities to work on large corporate events, conferences, and productions across Arizona
