As an Event Staff member, you will be responsible for various tasks related to event management, guest services, and hospitality. Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring all areas are clean and organized.
- Provide excellent guest services by greeting attendees, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
- Manage food service operations during events, including serving food and beverages as needed.
- Support event coordinators in executing event plans effectively while adhering to timelines.
- Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere, utilizing conflict management skills when necessary.
- Monitor crowd control and ensure safety protocols are followed during events.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations throughout the event duration.
- Participate in training sessions related to hospitality, public speaking, and events management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Experience in conflict management to handle any issues that may arise during events.
- Familiarity with food service operations is a plus.
- Background in resort or theater environments is advantageous.
- Experience working with children or as a lifeguard is beneficial for specific events.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this role.
