Types of events include but not limited to: Red Carpet Events, consumer activations, network screenings, conferences, concerts, festivals, and live entertainment.

Responsibilities:

As an Event / Venue Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring a safe and secure environment for event attendees, staff, and performers.
• Conducting thorough security checks at entry points.
• Monitoring crowds and responding to any potential security incidents.
• Providing excellent customer service to guests.
• Collaborating with local law enforcement and event organizers.
• Effectively communicating with team members and supervisors.

Position Overview: As an Event Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment during various events, including concerts, festivals, corporate gatherings, and sporting events. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, ensuring the safety of attendees, and responding to any incidents that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

Access Control: Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials, and control access to restricted areas to ensure that only authorized personnel and guests are allowed entry.

Crowd Management: Assist in managing the flow of attendees, ensuring that all areas remain safe and accessible, and that emergency evacuation routes are clear.

Incident Response: Respond promptly to any disturbances or emergencies, including medical incidents, altercations, or unauthorized behavior, and report any issues to the supervisory team.

Communication: Work collaboratively with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services as needed, providing clear communication during incidents.

Customer Service: Provide assistance to guests, answer questions, and provide directions to enhance the overall experience of attendees.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, daily activities, and any relevant observations during the event.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in security, military, or law enforcement preferred.

NY Security Guard Card

Excellent observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented attitude.

Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the event schedule.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.

Must be willing to travel to various event locations.

Preferred Qualifications:

FDNY-F-04, must be willing to obtain.

3+ Years previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or crowd management is highly desirable.
