Events Manager – Marketing Communications

Overview:

This position is responsible for the end-to-end strategic planning, execution, and analysis of corporate events, industry trade shows, roadshows, and conference participation. Ensure that all event activities align with company sales and marketing objectives, aiming to maximize brand visibility and lead generation within budget. Requires a blend of strategic planning and hands-on logistics management, including, booth design, vendor negotiation, staff coordination, and housing block coordination. Will be responsible for paying vendors, creating PO’s, approving payments, and tracking the marketing promotional budget from month to month and year over year.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional Events Council to set strategic multi-year event vision and execution

  • Event management and coordination.

  • Work with event business owner(s) to decide on booth size, layout and overall theme to support the messaging and equipment and services exhibited.

  • Booth space selection and payment.

  • Creating a schedule and task list to track all action items and their owners pertaining to all shows or conferences.

  • Coordinate with our tradeshow partners booth requirements, ordering all services, asset selection, and labor needed per show or conference.

  • Manage the packing of assets and merchandise for all shows.

  • Arranging shipping to and from show sites.

  • Make all show-related payments via PO’s or P-card.

  • Work with the marketing team for lead capture and promotion of events in both print and electronic forms.

  • Work with marketing team to create a final report for each event to share with leadership.

  • The ability to build strong relationships with vendors and contractors.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of marketing action plans to achieve targets.

  • Help develop promotions and campaigns that increase sales.

  • Generate innovative solutions to add value to Sales.

  • Maximize results by assisting in the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing.

  • 3+ years of corporate marketing experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, excel, word, outlook).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel several times a year.

  • Physical ability to assist in packing and tradeshow/event setup.

  • Graphic design, layout skills and familiarity with Adobe products would be a plus.

  • Assist in the execution of action plans to achieve targets.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to deliver commitments without direct authority over execution team
