Excavator Operator

We are looking for a Excavator Operator Driver who will be responsible for operating excavators and related heavy equipment to perform digging, trenching, loading, and other earthmoving tasks at construction, mining, or infrastructure project sites. The operator ensures the safe and efficient use of equipment, performs routine maintenance checks, and follows all safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities &

• Operate excavators and related heavy equipment to perform digging, grading, trenching, loading, and other earthmoving tasks.
• Assist in site clearing, leveling, backfilling, and compaction activities.
• Work in coordination with surveyors and site engineers to achieve correct levels and slopes.
• Load trucks with soil, rocks, or debris efficiently and safely.
• Perform daily inspection and preventive maintenance of the excavator before and after use (e.g., checking oil, hydraulic fluid, filters, and tires/tracks).
• Report any mechanical issues or damages immediately to the maintenance team.
• Keep equipment clean and in proper working condition.
• Operate machinery safely following site safety protocols and traffic management rules.
• Ensure that excavation works comply with safety standards, avoiding damage to underground utilities.
• Use protective gear and follow all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
• Follow instructions from site supervisors, engineers, or foremen regarding work scope and sequence.
• Coordinate with other machine operators, drivers, and labor teams to maintain smooth workflow.
• Maintain efficiency and minimize equipment downtime.
• Excavate foundations, trenches, and ditches according to construction drawings and specifications.

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent (preferred).
• Formal training or certification in heavy equipment operation.
• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience operating excavators on construction, road, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in working with different types and sizes of excavators (wheeled and tracked).
• Knowledge of soil types, excavation depths, and trenching techniques.
• Strong understanding of equipment capabilities, limitations, and safe operation.
• Ability to read and interpret site drawings, levels, and layout marks.
• Good hand-eye coordination and precision control.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues.
• Strong awareness of site safety and surroundings.
• Valid excavator operator license or heavy equipment operator certificate (as required by local regulations).
• Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Team-oriented with a responsible and safety-conscious attitude.
• Valid UAE Driving License (Heavy Vehicle & Excavator/Heavy Equipment Operator license category as per RTA).
