Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Excavator Operator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy construction equipment, primarily excavators, to assist in various building and infrastructure projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and precise operation of machinery on active construction sites. Duties
- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, horizontal drilling rigs, and paving equipment with precision and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained.
- Assist with site preparation activities including grading, trenching, excavation, and backfilling to support construction workflows.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to execute tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and operational reports for project documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation on construction sites.
- Support other construction activities as needed, including material handling and site cleanup.
Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators in a construction environment is essential.
- Familiarity with other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, horizontal drilling rigs, and paving machines is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery components and maintenance procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent certification for operating large vehicles like dump trucks or water trucks is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely on active construction sites with a focus on precision and efficiency.
- Construction site experience involving various types of earthmoving and excavation tasks is highly valued.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) equipment brands or similar heavy machinery is a plus. Join us in building the future!
