Role Summary:
The Process Excellence & Governance manager is the enterprise owner of process design, improvement, and governance across the company. The role is accountable for defi ning how work fl ows end-to-end within and between departments, ensuring processes are scalable, effi cient, and increasingly enabled by AI and automation.
This role does not run day-to-day operations. Instead, it establishes the process architecture, standards, controls, and continuous improvement system that operational teams execute against.
Key responsibilities:
1. Enterprise Process Ownership
Own the company-wide process architecture, including core, supporting, and management processes
Design and document end-to-end, cross-functional processes covering all major value streams
Defi ne clear process ownership, handoff s, decision rights, and escalation paths
Ensure processes are designed for scale, resilience, and regulatory compliance
2. Process Design & Standardization
Lead current-state and future-state process design across departments
Establish process standards, templates, and design principles
Eliminate redundant, confl icting, or undocumented processes
Ensure consistency of process execution across teams while allowing controlled fl exibility
3. AI-Enabled Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to reduce cycle time, manual eff ort, and rework using AI and automation
Redesign processes to leverage AI for decision support, validation, classifi cation, and exception handling
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to embed AI capabilities directly into workfl ows
Ensure AI usage is governed, explainable, auditable, and aligned with risk appetite
4. Process Governance & Change Control
Establish and operate the enterprise process governance model
Defi ne rules for process changes, versioning, approvals, and impact assessment
Chair or manage the process review and change control forum
Enforce adherence to approved processes and standards
5. Performance Management & Measurement
Defi ne process-level KPIs (cycle time, touchless rate, exception rate, rework, compliance pass rate)
Ensure performance metrics are instrumented within systems, not managed manually
Monitor process performance trends and identify systemic improvement opportunities
Provide leadership with fact based insights on operational performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
. 5+ years in Operational Excellence, Process Improvement, or Business Transformation
. Experience designing operating models for:
. Startups
. Greenfield initiatives
. Pre-launch or scale up environments
. Strong exposure to fintech, SaaS, or digital platforms
. Proven experience increasing productivity through AI and automation, not just headcount or tooling Certifications & Credentials.
. Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt or Black Belt
. Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
. ISO 9001
. Exposure to ISO 27001 and data governance standards is a plus AI & Digital Capability
. Strong understanding of how AI can be applied to:
. Knowledge work
. Decision flows
. Operational productivity
. Ability to translate AI capabilities into practical process designs
. Comfortable working with Product, Engineering, and Data teams on AI delivery Mindset & Behaviors
. Builder mentality; designs before scaling
. Strong bias for simplicity and leverage
. Data driven, structured, and execution focused
. Believes productivity comes from better systems, not harder work
