WCG CPAs & Advisors is a mid-size yet boutique tax and accounting firm headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO with team members across the U.S. and in India. We are a methodically growing firm with 7 partners, more than 90 full-time team members, and projected 2026 revenues of $12.7M, representing about 14% year-over-year growth. We grow because our model works, not because we say yes to everything. We primarily engage with small business owners (S Corps, Partnerships, PCs) and complex individual tax preparation. We take a consultative approach to our client engagements by offering routine consultation and a strong focus on planning and business advisory services. However, we are still a compliance-forward, good ol’ fashioned CPA firm.

Applicants Must

• Bring proven experience as an executive assistant, or in a comparable role supporting senior leadership, ideally more than one leader at a time.
• Have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through. No kidding, right?
• Be assertive and comfortable acting as an extension of the partners and firm strategist, chasing answers and driving timelines without being told twice.
• Handle confidential, partner-level information with complete discretion.
• Be highly AI-fluent, using AI daily to help craft emails and other correspondence on behalf of leadership.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write in leadership’s voice.
• Work independently, anticipate needs, and make sound judgment calls in the moment.
• Be a hard worker and find energy from chaos, high workloads and client tensions.
• Be proficient with Microsoft 365, Teams, and common scheduling and document tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience at a public accounting, professional services, or legal firm.
• A Bachelor’s degree, preferred but not required.
• Experience supporting a group of executives or partners simultaneously.

Compensation

$72,000 to $88,000 total compensation for salaried associates, depending on experience. Bonuses, if offered, are considered in addition to total compensation (for this position, bonuses are based on qualitative intangibles).

Responsibilities

You support the Partner group and the Firm Strategist, and report to Terra Plamp, Firm Strategist. Your duties include WCG’s general firm responsibilities plus, or as modified by, the following:

Role-Specific Duties

• Owning and defending calendars for the Partner group and Firm Strategist, scheduling meetings and appointments, resolving conflicts early, and protecting blocks of focused time.
• Monitoring, screening, prioritizing, and routing incoming calls, emails, and messages, and drafting responses on their behalf where appropriate.
• Using AI daily to help draft, smooth, and complete emails and other correspondence on behalf of leadership, always in their voice and to their standard.
• Serving as a trusted point of contact between firm leadership and the rest of the WCG team, as well as clients, vendors, and outside professionals such as attorneys and financial advisors.
• Preparing for meetings end to end, including agendas, materials, notes, and follow-up, so nothing is dropped.
• Drafting, proofreading, and formatting correspondence, memos, presentations, and internal documents to a polished standard.
• Tracking projects, commitments, and deadlines across the leadership group, and keeping the people you support ahead of them.
• Coordinating leadership meetings, firm offsites, and internal events, including logistics, materials, and timing.
• Maintaining organized, confidential electronic files and records.

General Tax Team Duties

• Guiding WCG along the path of success.
• Promoting WCG culture and encouraging excellence and high team morale.
• Identifying improvement gaps and assisting with deploying corrective measures.
• Providing feedback, concerns, and recommendations to WCG leadership, including ideas that make WCG a better firm.
• Coordinating client-centric efforts across teams.
• Answering client phone calls and emails with professionalism and genuine care.
• Filing and organizing electronic documents and helping keep the workflow moving.
• Other tasks related to tax, accounting, and consultation as requested.

Executive Assistant responsibilities and duties will change from time to time depending on circumstances, your skill set, and the firm’s needs. They are reviewed, modified if necessary, and agreed to during Associate Reviews.

Other Requirements

All salaried positions must perform work-related activities, duties and tasks for 1,900 hours annually / 12-month trailing period of Firm-related activities regardless of job title, position, responsibilities or duties. These hours reflect hands-on, work-related time only.

Holidays, office closures, PTO, and other paid time off do not count toward and are not deducted from the 1,900-hour requirement.
