Executive Assistant / Credentialing Coordinator

Join our dynamic team at Meadowview Behavioral Hospital and make a difference as an Executive Administrative Assistant / Medical Staff Coordinator! In this highly visible role, you will provide executive-level administrative support to hospital leadership while helping coordinate critical medical staff processes and credentialing activities that support quality patient care and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to anticipate needs in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role serves as a key support partner to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO), helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations and effective coordination across departments and medical staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Administration Department by maintaining an organized environment with a courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Provide administrative support to the CEO and CMO, including scheduling, meetings, correspondence, and facility records.
  • Answer and initiate phone calls and intercom pages in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain and update physician/licensed practitioner credentialing files and facility operational contract books.
  • Coordinate credentialing and reappointment activities for medical staff members, including primary source verification and tracking compliance requirements.
  • Ensure pertinent information is communicated to the Consulting Board, Medical Executive Committee, Medical Staff Committees, and Facility Committees.
  • Attend meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes for Medical Executive Committee meetings, Medical Staff Committees, and Administrative Management meetings.
  • Assist with organizing leadership meetings, calendars, and special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information and executive communications.

Your Experience Matters — What we’re looking for:
  • Education: Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a healthcare setting required.
  • Additional Skill Requirements:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
    • Ability to type at least 65 w.p.m.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software programs
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a leadership environment
    • Shorthand experience preferred

Compensation:

This is a full-time position with an expected compensation range of $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
