About the Role

This role would be ideal for someone who is looking for the next step in their career and keen to learn from an experienced GM. You will work closely with the GM on the day to day running of the hotel. The 151key Rydges Parramatta offers modern and spacious accommodation for both leisure and business travelers.

As an EAM you will be the hotels chief host, brand ambassador, and experience creator, you'll be the welcoming face of the hotel-present, visible, and approachable. You'll lead by example, especially during peak periods, ensuring every guest interaction is memorable. Beyond operational leadership, you'll champion our People Brand, driving a culture of excellence, engagement, and continuous improvement. Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a senior or HoD role, ideally coming from a branded hotel environment.
  • A strong background in rooms revenue and a solid understanding of F&B is preferable.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a keen eye for market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities to drive profitability and value.
  • Proven ability to deliver results and exceed guest expectations through high standards of service, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Inspirational leadership skills with experience in supervising teams, setting clear expectations, and fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Confident decision-maker who takes initiative, embraces responsibility, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement across hotel operations.
  • Skilled in influencing and negotiating, with the ability to build strong relationships and promote ideas effectively within the team and broader business.
Key Accountabilities
  • Drive revenue growth by leveraging core commercial levers including rate, occupancy, spend per cover, and capture rates-ensuring performance exceeds market benchmarks.
  • Champion a guest-first culture by consistently delivering exceptional service standards and fostering a team-wide commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee inventory and cost control systems, ensuring efficient stock management, accurate requisitions, and responsible expenditure across departments.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Revenue team to manage rate strategies, distribution channels, and allotments to maximise profitability.
  • Lead the promotion and integration of Priority Guest Rewards across all guest touchpoints, focusing on membership acquisition, recognition, and team proficiency.
  • Analyse departmental financials and provide insightful commentary on key metrics including RevPAR, average rate, occupancy, productivity, and profit margins.
  • Manage labour forecasting and rostering to align with financial targets, peak demand periods, and event calendars-ensuring optimal staffing and cost control.
  • Maintain operational excellence across housekeeping, maintenance, and public spaces, ensuring cleanliness, ambience, and guest comfort are consistently prioritised.
