Executive Director, Nursing Admissions

Pacific College is seeking a dynamic individual for the full-time position of Executive Director, Nursing Admissions at our New York campus. This position is hybrid, with at least 3 days per week required onsite at our New York campus.

Position Overview: The Executive Director of Nursing Admissions provides vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the department. They oversee admissions staff for the New York campus-based Pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (PBSN) program and the Holistic Nursing Certificate program. The Executive Director of Nursing Admissions must have a passionate commitment to all dimensions of the student experience and address opportunity gaps for underserved and underrepresented students. They are responsible for the performance and results of the Admissions team, providing data-driven insights and recommendations, training and direct oversight of Admissions Representatives, the qualification center and Admissions Coordinators. There is also collaboration with an external Salesforce system consultant, and other inter-departmental leaders and staff.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Enrollment Operations

  • Ensure people and processes are in place and road-mapped to achieve enrollment targets from the top down.
  • Designs and implements training initiatives, policies, and procedures within the admissions department.
  • Actively manages the admissions process, ensuring efficient and effective enrollment experience.
  • Analyzes data to identify opportunities to improve the enrollment process and experience for prospective students.
  • Oversees the operation and performance of a contact center in Honduras that is responsible for qualifying prospects to ensure fit with the nursing program requirements.
  • Collaborates closely with the head of Marketing to achieve enrollment objectives.
  • Works with Academic Leadership to advance recruitment efforts.
  • Meets regularly with the registrar, financial aid, and student services departmental leaders to ensure alignment.
  • Organizes and presents admissions performance data on a weekly, monthly, and by-term basis with executive leaders and across departments.
  • Assists with webinars, info sessions, and other events to generate student interest.
  • Look at all tasks, activities, and processes through a growth lens.

Quality Assurance

  • Regularly evaluates the performance of Admissions Representatives and Admissions Coordinators and provides constant feedback and accountability to frontline management.
  • Reviews CRM data and evaluates data for accuracy and compliance with coding standards.
  • Conducts call-listening campaigns to focus areas and presents findings as well as organizes a third-party vendor to conduct secret shopping annually.
  • Presents proposals for new training or corrective actions based on observations. Flags and reports on compliance risks that are presented in coaching, verbal, and written communications.
  • Stays current on trends in admissions/nursing admissions in higher education in NYC and surrounding area

Functional Leadership & Training Development

  • Drives a culture of coaching and constant performance improvement, utilizing standard evaluation templates and methodologies.
  • Build and develop a team of skilled individuals and leaders that blend deep organizational knowledge with evolving skillsets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher degree.
  • Proven record of successful supervisory experience leading admissions or sales teams.
  • At least 4-6 years of direct experience in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge and skill in using qualitative and quantitative data to drive effective program development, marketing, recruitment, admission.
  • Knowledge of technology-based solutions using communication tools to support recruitment of new students.
  • Possession of high professional standards and a personal code of ethics characterized by honesty, integrity, openness and fairness.
  • Effective interpersonal written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to foster collaborative efforts and partnership building with internal and external constituencies within a diverse community.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify, consult and resolve issues that impact institutional needs and priorities and experience in using data to make sound decisions and foster improvement.
  • Skill as a visionary and innovative leader, seeking innovation as well as the ability to review and evaluate the results of that innovation.
  • Ability to work within and commitment to a system of shared governance.
  • Ability to commit to inclusive excellence.

Preferred

  • Direct experience in higher education - Five years or more
  • Knowledge of integrative healthcare, and/or nursing
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Campus Vue/Anthology

Salary Expectations: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
