We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Executive Director of Finance to lead our financial operations with enthusiasm and precision. Duties

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Oversee all accounting functions including corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, and technical accounting standards such as IAS (International Accounting Standards) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
  • Manage budgeting processes, financial forecasting, cost control initiatives, and risk analysis to ensure fiscal stability
  • Supervise financial reporting activities including preparation, interpretation, and presentation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements
  • Oversee treasury management functions such as cash flow analysis, investment management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting obligations and internal policies while maintaining accurate general ledger reconciliation and account analysis
  • Lead audits and coordinate external public accounting engagements to uphold transparency and accountability
  • Implement robust internal controls for risk management, fraud prevention, and cost management strategies
  • Utilize advanced financial software for data analysis, report writing, and financial management to support strategic decision-making

Experience

  • Proven leadership experience in senior finance roles within non-profit organizations or similar sectors with extensive knowledge of IAS, IFRS, GAAP, ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition Standard), and other relevant accounting standards
  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate finance, risk analysis, governmental accounting, regulatory reporting, and treasury management
  • Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and investment management
  • Experience with public accounting procedures including audit coordination and compliance management
  • Proficiency in financial software systems along with excellent skills in financial report writing and interpretation
  • Exceptional ability to analyze profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and perform account reconciliation effectively
  • Leadership qualities that inspire teams towards operational excellence while fostering a culture of continuous improvement in financial practices
