Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director of Mental Health to oversee the development and daily operations of an Outpatient Behavioral Health Practice providing Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programming (PHP).

The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring clinically excellent, client-centered care while maintaining full compliance with regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards. This role partners with organizational leadership and provides supervision and mentorship to multidisciplinary team members, fostering a culture of integrity, service excellence, and clinical quality.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Model and promote 5-Star Service standards to clients, families, team members, and referral sources
  • Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to multidisciplinary clinical and administrative staff
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement operational adjustments to achieve organizational goals
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care within IOP and PHP programs
  • Review and approve group therapy assignments to ensure balanced caseloads and appropriate programming
  • Lead and participate in performance improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes and staff development
  • Collaborate with network leadership on business development, referral relationships, and community outreach
  • Ensure full compliance with licensing, accreditation, state, federal, and contractual requirements
  • Evaluate patient satisfaction and treatment outcomes, incorporating feedback into program enhancements

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Public Administration, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Active Alabama clinical license (LICSW, LPC, LMFT, or similar) strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
  • Experience treating mental health disorders strongly preferred
  • Experience in a corporate-managed healthcare environment strongly preferred

Work Environment

  • Outpatient Behavioral Health setting
  • Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs
  • Leadership role overseeing multidisciplinary teams

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
