Job Summary:
The Executive – Export (Sales/Marketing) is responsible for identifying and developing international business opportunities, managing relationships with overseas clients, and ensuring smooth execution of export processes. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, marketing strategy, and international trade compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Identify and target new international markets and customers.
- Develop and implement export sales strategies to achieve business goals.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing overseas clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for export customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Sales & Marketing Activities:
- Conduct market research to analyze customer needs and competitor activity.
- Develop marketing materials and proposals for international clients.
- Export Documentation & Compliance:
- Coordinate with logistics and documentation teams for timely shipments.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws and export regulations.
- Handle LC (Letter of Credit), shipping documents, and other trade paperwork.
- Coordination & Reporting:
- Liaise with production, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure order fulfilment.
- Monitor and report on sales performance against targets.
- Provide regular market feedback and suggestions for product improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in export sales/marketing, preferably in [industry, e.g., Steel any manufacturing].
- Strong understanding of international markets, trade regulations, and documentation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
- Ability to travel internationally if required.
