Executive Functioning Coach Hybrid | Academic Support & Skill Development

Curvebreakers Test Prep is expanding its student support services and seeking a skilled, student-centered Executive Functioning Coach to join our team. This role is ideal for educators, tutors, counselors, and learning specialists who understand how academic performance connects to planning, organization, and cognitive skill development.

Position Overview/About the Role

As an Executive Functioning Coach with Curvebreakers, you will support middle school, high school, and college students who need structured guidance to manage schoolwork, strengthen independent work habits, and navigate increasingly complex academic demands. You will integrate EF strategies directly into students’ tutoring, test prep, and academic support plans.

This position works closely with our tutoring team to complement content instruction and improve overall student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities/What You'll Do

  • Deliver 1:1 EF coaching sessions customized to students’ academic schedules, coursework, and test preparation goals.
  • Teach strategies that support organization, planning, time management, self-monitoring, and task initiation.
  • Collaborate with Curvebreakers’ tutors to ensure EF coaching aligns with subject tutoring and test prep plans.
  • Guide students in building weekly systems for assignment tracking, study planning, and test preparation.
  • Maintain concise progress notes that help families and tutors understand student growth and challenges.
  • Support parents in understanding how EF skills impact learning and how to reinforce strategies at home.
  • Provide ongoing support and EF services on an as -needed basis.

Qualifications/What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Experience working with adolescents (education, tutoring, coaching, counseling, or related fields).
  • Strong understanding of how executive functioning impacts academic performance.
  • Ability to translate EF skills into practical routines that support schoolwork, test prep, and college readiness.

Preferred:

  • Experience in tutoring, teaching, academic coaching, or test preparation environments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience supporting neurodivergent learners (ADHD, dyslexia, ASD, anxiety, etc.).

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Flexible scheduling with after-school/evening availability preferred.
  • Hybrid structure—with sessions conducted online and/or on-site depending on student needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
