<Duties>
- Assist attorneys with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and iManage to gather pertinent case law, statutes, and regulations across various practice areas such as UCC law, Workers' Compensation Law, Personal Injury Law, and Landlord-Tenant Law.
- Manage legal documents through document review, drafting contracts, proofreading, transcription, and ensuring accurate filing within document management systems.
- Support case management by organizing client files, entering data into PCLaw and other legal administrative software, and maintaining meticulous records of case activities.
- Conduct thorough legal research on complex topics like Tribal Law & Regulations or Patent Law to assist in case preparation.
- Prepare legal correspondence, briefs, pleadings, and other documents with precision and clarity.
- Coordinate interviews with clients or witnesses to gather essential information for ongoing cases.
- Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings or court dates, handling phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and performing general clerical tasks such as data entry and filing.
<Experience>
- Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, patent law, tribal law & regulations, and workers’ compensation is a strong asset.
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with document management systems like iManage is advantageous.
- Experience using legal case management software such as PCLaw; ability to handle data entry accurately and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting correspondence and legal documents; keen proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy.
- Effective interviewing skills for client interactions; professional phone etiquette essential for communicating with clients and team members.
