Long Island Restaurant is looking for a talented and experienced Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef to join our culinary team.
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly skilled chef with strong experience in premium pastries, bakery items, desserts, plated desserts, breads, and menu development. The ideal candidate must have a background in high-end casual dining or fine dining and the ability to deliver consistent quality, presentation, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the pastry and bakery section.
- Create and develop premium desserts, pastries, breads, and bakery items.
- Maintain high standards of taste, presentation, quality, and consistency.
- Train and supervise pastry/bakery team members.
- Manage production planning, costing, waste control, and inventory.
- Ensure hygiene, food safety, and kitchen standards are followed at all times.
- Support seasonal menus, special events, and new product development.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in pastry and bakery.
- Experience in high-end casual dining or fine dining is a must.
- Strong knowledge of international pastry, bakery, and dessert techniques.
- Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced premium restaurant environment.
- UAE/GCC experience is a plus.
