Job Purpose

The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services in line with organizational requirements. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, vendor development, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify reliable vendors and suppliers, evaluate quotations, and negotiate favourable terms.
  • Review purchase requisitions and float RFQ’s with comparisons and create purchase orders as per company policies.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores/warehouse for replenishment at projects.
  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, spares, and services
  • Maintain and update supplier database with performance records.
  • Track purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure schedules are met.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Production, QA/QC, Finance) to align requirements.
  • Handle documentation related to import/export (if applicable).
  • Resolve vendor issues related to quality, delivery, or payment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement / purchase function (industry-specific experience preferred, e.g., irrigation automation, manufacturing, engineering, trading)
  • Proficiency in MS Office; ERP knowledge is an advantage

Work Conditions

  • Location: Bhopal (Head Office)
  • Full-time,
  • Occasional travel for vendor visits, audits, and negotiations
