Job Purpose
The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services in line with organizational requirements. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, vendor development, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Identify reliable vendors and suppliers, evaluate quotations, and negotiate favourable terms.

Review purchase requisitions and float RFQ’s with comparisons and create purchase orders as per company policies.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores/warehouse for replenishment at projects.

Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, spares, and services

Maintain and update supplier database with performance records.

Track purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure schedules are met.

Coordinate with internal departments (Production, QA/QC, Finance) to align requirements.

Handle documentation related to import/export (if applicable).

Resolve vendor issues related to quality, delivery, or payment.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree

2–4 years of experience in procurement / purchase function (industry-specific experience preferred, e.g., irrigation automation, manufacturing, engineering, trading)

Proficiency in MS Office; ERP knowledge is an advantage
