Executive - Product Cost Engineer


Your main responsibilities

Objectives of the function


Plays a crucial role in determining the total cost associated with manufacturing or producing a product in SC-IN


Responsibilities


  • Take complete ownership of Calculating DPC (Direct product cost) for Schindler Pune plant products.
  • Represent product costing function in Change management organisation (CMO).
  • Co-ordinate with Procurement, supplier development & INDU team for calculating change in product cost.
  • Actively participate in NPD projects from costing side.
  • Identify DPC reduction opportunity thru global benchmarking activity.
  • Help pricing manager for defining pricing strategy.
  • Generate cost reduction opportunity with comparing different product line
  • Co-ordination with global costing colleagues for costing related topics of SC-IN.
  • Regularly prepare DPC report along with cost driver wise GAP analysis report.
  • Prepare DPC forecasting report for upcoming CP (Change period) for KW management.
  • Participate & contribute in Cost-out project of SC-IN

Authorities:

  • Prepare & present business case to KW management.
  • Review direct product cost related topic.

What you bring

Education


Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Optional: CMA (Cost & Management Accountancy)


Professional skills


  • SAP
  • Excel based costing.
  • Knowledge of different commodity Parts cost estimation and analysis.
  • Power Bi / Data Analytics
  • Microsoft Office tools

Professional experience


  • Minimum 4 ~ 8 years of experience of product Costing
  • Understand Zero Based costing concept for various commodity part
  • Sourcing & Supplier development experience
  • Know-how NPI & VAVE project cost assessment.


Standard Awareness


  • Occupational Health, Safety, environment & Quality policy awareness
  • ISO 14001,45001, 9001 standard awareness


Languages


  • English, Hindi, Marathi


IT


  • SAP
  • MS Tool


Key Competence Required for this job


Knowledge of Product costing & SAP systems.
