EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

Description of Duties
The Executive Secretary reports to the President/CEO and performs a range of duties from complex administrative responsibilities such board meeting agenda and preparation, drafting resolutions, and preparing meeting minutes to clerical and general office tasks.
The Executive Secretary must be detail-oriented and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. The individual will be responsible for communicating directly with association members through written correspondence and telephone calls and preparing remarks for the President/CEO. The individual is responsible for arranging travel and managing the calendar for the President/CEO and is an integral part of the association’s team.
The ideal candidate will be talented at editing content, developing presentations utilizing PowerPoint and Prezi, updating the association’s membership database and website, and utilizing Excel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Qualified candidates must possess clerical experience in a professional office environment and be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills while validating substantial knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office software.

Working Conditions
The Executive Secretary will sit in the main area of the office while using office equipment as well as light lifting of office supplies, files and materials. The Executive Secretary will need a high level of focus and concentration and must be adaptable to changing work-flow priorities.
