About the Role:

The Executive Sous Chef plays a key role in our Culinary Experience team, providing hands-on leadership and production cooking. This role ensures food quality, service excellence, and cleanliness standards are met at all times while fostering a culture of hospitality.

Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:

• Preparing, presenting, and serving meals that meet quality and nutritional standards.

• Maintaining community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.

• Visiting with residents to evaluate food service and make improvements.

• Supporting special events, marketing activities, and menu planning.

• Leading by example with professionalism, hospitality, and teamwork.

• Maintaining required certifications (ServSafe/Food Handler)

Executive Sous Chef Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 year of experience in graduate of a culinary institute or formal culinary training, senior living, or equivalent cooking environment.

• Ability to follow approved, standardized recipes and menus for regular and therapeutic diets.

• Ability to make independent decisions without supervision.

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with residents, family members, team members, and the public.

• Ability to make decisions in stressful situations.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to direct team members effectively.

• Possess good character and a high degree of personal integrity.

• Demonstrate genuine concern for the physical and emotional needs of older adults and their families.

• Required to receive the annual Flu vaccine, excluding religious or medical exemptions.
