About the Role:
The Executive Sous Chef plays a key role in our Culinary Experience team, providing hands-on leadership and production cooking. This role ensures food quality, service excellence, and cleanliness standards are met at all times while fostering a culture of hospitality.
Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:
Preparing, presenting, and serving meals that meet quality and nutritional standards.
Maintaining community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
Visiting with residents to evaluate food service and make improvements.
Supporting special events, marketing activities, and menu planning.
Leading by example with professionalism, hospitality, and teamwork.
Maintaining required certifications (ServSafe/Food Handler)
Executive Sous Chef Qualifications:
Minimum 2 year of experience in graduate of a culinary institute or formal culinary training, senior living, or equivalent cooking environment.
Ability to follow approved, standardized recipes and menus for regular and therapeutic diets.
Ability to make independent decisions without supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with residents, family members, team members, and the public.
Ability to make decisions in stressful situations.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to direct team members effectively.
Possess good character and a high degree of personal integrity.
Demonstrate genuine concern for the physical and emotional needs of older adults and their families.
Required to receive the annual Flu vaccine, excluding religious or medical exemptions.
