We Are Looking For a Candidate With Strong Background And Experience As a Materials Planner (Materials Program Manager) For One Of Our Projects Related Production Of Autonomous Vehicles. The Ideal Candidate Must Have
-
Prior experience working in automotive industry with a background in Materials planning (Materials PM, Buyer/Planner, Materials Planner or similar). Worked with key vendors involved in electronics components, mechanical components, automotive components, etc.

Should have clear understanding and work experience of Materials planning activities using Clear to Build (CTB) report. Also called as a Shortage report or Build Status report.

Experience with Manual Demand Planning, Manual Production Planning, Manual MRP is the key requirement. (Mostly manual, no SAP/ERP)

Strong knowledge of MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) system functionality.

Manage demand, Manage material shortages

Understand Bill of materials, Inventory and Supply chain data, Review quotes

Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft excel/Google Sheets, generate complex dashboards, tools, and reports. Experience with formulas like - VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, IFERROR, INDEX, MATCH, MIN, etc.

Excellent in written and verbal communication

Roles & Responsibilities

The key responsibility for this job will be manual demand planning (Manual MRP experience). Mostly involving manual production planning/Manual MRP’s through Excel/GSheets, therefore Advanced Excel or GSheet’s experience is a must.

Analyze manufacturing build plan against inventory and supply chain data to determine demand for material replenishment

Obtain quotes from suppliers and submit Purchase Orders

Manage delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive ahead of requirement date

Manage the Clear to Build at the OEM

Track and mitigate Excess and Obsolescence
Overall Responsibilities

Create and manage the Clear to Build for internal and external manufacturing of complex self-driving-systems
modules

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the Top Level Assemblies forecast and component
lead-times

Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure demand for materials is met

Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy

Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule - Take follow up actions in relation to
Material shortages that affect production –

Consolidate the demand from multiple sources and own the MPS (Master Production Schedule)
Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000 a year
