Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Duties Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while performing a variety of clinical tasks. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care in accordance with established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and vital signs monitoring.
• Perform dental fillings, 3D scanning, temporary fillings and and other routine procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
• Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Keep the dental clinic organized and ensure that all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.

Qualifications

• EDDA experience a plus but not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and procedeures
• Ability to work effectively with a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
