Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled detailed-oriented Dental Assistant to lead our clinical team. In addition to assisting dentists with procedures, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring excellent patient care, this self-starter will also serve as a dental lead within the office.

Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments
- Assist dentists during procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Maintain patient records and medical documentation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Manage inventory of dental supplies

Skills:
- Proficiency in medical documentation
- Knowledge of Scanning software is a plus
- Understanding of infection control protocols
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial
- Comfort working with pediatric patients
- Anatomy knowledge for dental procedures
- Familiarity with Open Dental software is advantageous
- Ability to take and analyze X-rays

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 37.0 per week
