Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, positive, knowledgeable and skilled Expanded Function Dental Assistant to play an integral role in chairside assisting, as well as a rover front desk administrator. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, and assisting our dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, knowledge of treatment planning, 3D digital impressions, ability to fabricate temporary crowns, excellent communication skills, plus, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures
- Utilize Dentrix dental software for patient management and record-keeping
- Operate 3D scanners for digital imaging for hard and soft tissues
- Maintain aseptic techniques throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety
- Provide support in administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Skills
- Proficiency in general dentistry practices with hands-on assisting experience
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and recording
- Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix.
- Experience with 3D scanning technology is preferred
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique during all clinical operations
- Knowledge of ordering supplies and keeping up with OSHA/infection control standards.
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in dental coding/insurance is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- A positive, "can-do" attitude is greatly desired.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
