Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support the doctor in delivering efficient, high-quality restorative care. This role requires strong clinical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within scope.
Responsibilities
- Place and contour composite restorations
- Fabricate and place temporary crowns and bridges
- Take final impressions and intraoral scans
- Adjust and polish restorations
- Assist chairside during a variety of procedures
- Ensure operatories are set up and turned over efficiently
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Follow all infection control and sterilization protocols
- Support overall clinical flow and help keep schedule on time
Qualifications
- Active EFDA certification/license in PA
- Dental assisting experience required (5+ years preferred)
- Strong restorative and clinical skills
- Experience with digital workflows (intraoral scanners, etc.) preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
