Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support the doctor in delivering efficient, high-quality restorative care. This role requires strong clinical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within scope.

Responsibilities

• Place and contour composite restorations
• Fabricate and place temporary crowns and bridges
• Take final impressions and intraoral scans
• Adjust and polish restorations
• Assist chairside during a variety of procedures
• Ensure operatories are set up and turned over efficiently
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Follow all infection control and sterilization protocols
• Support overall clinical flow and help keep schedule on time

Qualifications

• Active EFDA certification/license in PA
• Dental assisting experience required (5+ years preferred)
• Strong restorative and clinical skills
• Experience with digital workflows (intraoral scanners, etc.) preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
