Dentistry for Midtown is a well-established and highly regarded dental practice located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. We are searching for a Full-Time Dental Assistant/EFDA to provide high-quality care to our loyal and growing patient base. We are looking for an experienced EFDA with 3–5 years of experience who can help keep our office running efficiently while delivering an exceptional patient experience. This role is ideal for someone who is confident assisting with advanced procedures and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients into the dental office and ensure a positive patient experience
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for procedures
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations and maintain OSHA compliance
- Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry
- Assist in endodontic, crown & bridge, implant, oral surgery, clear aligner therapy, and general dentistry procedures
- Fabricate temporary crowns
- Perform digital scanning using iTero technology
- Assist with Invisalign or comparable clear aligner therapy workflows
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked
Qualifications & Skills
- 3–5 years of dental assisting/EFDA experience required
- Strong experience in:
- Endodontics
- Crown & bridge procedures
- Implant dentistry
- Oral surgery
- iTero digital scanning experience
- Clear aligner therapy (Invisalign or comparable systems)
- Proven ability to fabricate temporary crowns
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Experience with Dentrix preferred
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, team-oriented, and proactive mindset
- EFDA certification or additional expanded function training preferred
- High school diploma required; graduation from a dental assisting program preferred
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
