Expeditionary Logistics Support & Services Planner - Bahrain (012-26)

We are seeking multiple Expeditionary Logistics Support & Services Planners who will thrive in a challenging, rewarding, process-oriented environment supporting requirements and Task Orders that are generated under the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Worldwide Expeditionary Multiple Award Contract (WEXMAC) . This person will be expected to provide comprehensive logistics planning in support of a wide variety of mission areas requiring supplies or services. Mission areas include the following: base operations and life support services; logistics & transportation services; lodging, conference & catering services; force protection services; communications services. This person will analyze logistics support requirements contained in WEXMAC Task Orders, identify sufficient vendors/resources, develop and publish a support plan to provide the WEXMAC Task Order client with supplies or services.

Location:

• This position is located in Bahrain, and will require on-site support.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze logistics support requirements contained in a WEXMAC Task Order and any subsequent amendments to the Task Order.
• Analyze resource availability options, develop and evaluate solutions, and communicate the most effective resolution to all stakeholders within 1-7 days.
• Identify vendors capable of providing required logistics services and supplies.
• Develop a working knowledge of vendor lead times, capabilities, capacities, and any constraints associated with each resource group.
• Solicit, assess, and validate quotes from vendors.
• Staff solution package through corporate leadership for compliance, pricing, and approval.
• Make decisions concerning resourcing, handle multiple issues at a detailed level and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Must be organized, logical and willing to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work as part of a team in a fast paced and pressured environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Integrate the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan.
• Travel as required to engage with vendors and quality check deliveries.
• Monitor activities and resources to mitigate risk
• Implement and maintain quality assurance processes; make improvements, solve problems and take corrective action when problems arise

Education and Experience:

• Logistics management experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Outgoing personality willing to engage vendors from varied backgrounds and specialties
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Understanding of military operations, processes, and procedures
• Relevant DoD experience in logistics planning/execution for large or small organizations
• Project Management experience
• Ability to utilize lessons learned and apply them in new, unfamiliar situations
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
