Description:

To facilitate and monitor the process of ensuring ordered products are delivered in a timely manner.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Monitors open purchase order backlog.
  • Ensures timely deliveries of orders.
  • Communicate with suppliers via email and telephone.
  • Build relationships with assigned suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team and buyers to schedule deliveries.
  • Maintain records of outstanding purchase orders.
  • Resolve delinquent orders.

Nature and Scope

The Nature of this position is to provide a high element of clear and effective communication. This role also requires analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.

A majority of time will be spent in a busy office environment, sitting and using office equipment such as a computer and phone. Overtime may sometimes be required.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A basic understanding of the manufacturing process of fasteners.
  • Computer skills, including the ability to operate computerized spreadsheet, and word-processing programs.
  • Email at a highly proficient level.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to continue development to self-enhance personal performance.
