Job Summary

The Expeditor & Warehouse Assistant plays a vital role in daily operations across office, warehouse, and field projects. This position is responsible for expediting materials, assisting with coordination of logistics, and supporting warehouse operations including inventory control, staging, and distribution. This role requires a dependable, organized, and flexible individual who can multitask, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors depending on company needs.


Key Responsibilities


Expediting & Logistics

  • Coordinate and expedite materials, tools, and project-related items.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Project Managers, and leadership to meet project timelines and goals.
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and transportation of materials.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation (BOLs, receipts, etc.) is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Maintain vendor and customer relationships.
  • Understand and comply with hazmat shipping and handling regulations.


Warehouse Operations

  • Assist with receiving, warehousing, and distribution activities.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, staging, and shipping/receiving areas.
  • Perform inventory control including cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Accurately track incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Stock and restock materials; identify shortages and notify Purchasing.
  • Pull, kit, and stage materials for multiple ongoing projects.
  • Assist with loading and unloading shipments, including heavy materials.


Inventory & Administrative Support

  • Maintain organized records of inventory, shipments, and orders.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of material orders.
  • Assist with purchase orders, requisitions, and vendor invoices.
  • Support cost coding and data entry into inventory or accounting systems.
  • Generate reports and maintain inventory tracking systems.


General Support

  • Collaborate across departments including warehouse, purchasing, and field teams.
  • Assist with facility and yard maintenance as needed.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Alaska Driver’s License (CDL preferred)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test
  • Forklift certification (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in construction, telecommunications, or warehouse environments preferred


Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. regularly (occasionally up to 100 lbs. with assistance)
  • Ability to stand, sit, and drive for extended periods
  • Operate vehicles (trucks, trailers, flatbeds up to 26,001 lbs.)
  • Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks)
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Salary
: $30/hour ($62,400 annually)
