Position Overview

Southeastern Lighting Solutions (SLS) is hiring a Experienced, Sign Installation Technician based out of our Gulf Breeze, Florida operations Office. This position is for someone with 3 plus years of experience in the Signage and Lighting Industry only. This position involves the installation, maintenance, repair, and removal of a wide variety of commercial signage. Technicians will work with electrical and non-electrical signs, operate bucket and crane trucks, and perform work safely at elevated heights.

This role requires regular travel to job sites throughout the Florida Panhandle and surrounding regions, with occasional overnight travel depending on project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and service electrical signage including monuments, pylons, cabinets, and building-mounted signs
• Install non-lit signage, vinyl graphics, and directional signage
• Perform electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and power connections
• Transport signage and materials using bucket trucks, crane trucks, and service vehicles
• Operate lifts and light-to-heavy equipment safely
• Dig footings using various methods for sign foundations
• Perform welding as required to complete installations
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete jobs efficiently
• Communicate clearly with project managers and customers on site
• Travel to and from job sites; some projects may require overnight stays

REQUIRED Qualifications (No Exceptions)

• MUST HAVE a Minimum of 3+ years of documented, verifiable experience in sign installation and repair
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to lift, pull, and push 50+ lbs regularly
• Comfortable working at heights over 100 feet
• Ability to work outdoors in demanding weather and job site conditions
• General knowledge of hand tools and light equipment

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Prior commercial sign installation experience
• CDL preferred, but not required
• Basic knowledge of electrical components and practices
• Willingness to work overtime and stay until jobs are completed
• Enjoys travel and a variety of daily tasks
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision
• Leadership ability and strong teamwork skills
• Good communication and customer service mindset

Compensation & Incentives

• Starting pay based on experience
• Performance-based incentive pay in addition to hourly wages
• Incentives tied to sales percentage of completed jobs
