Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and experienced painters’ laborers to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will support skilled painters and tradespeople by preparing surfaces, handling tools, and assisting with various painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Duties

• Assist with surface preparation including sanding, scraping, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion
• Handle hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, and caulking guns with precision and care
• Support the application of paints, primers, stains, and sealants on various surfaces including walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, and masonry
• Help with the setup and breakdown of scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings to maintain a safe work environment
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution of tasks
• Mix paints and materials accurately using basic math skills to achieve desired color consistency based on color theory principles
• Maintain a clean work site by disposing of debris properly, organizing tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times

Skills

• Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of construction painting techniques
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and scaffolding setup
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics for accurate project execution
• Knowledge of surface preparation methods including plastering, caulking, stucco application, and masonry work
• Understanding of residential and commercial painting practices along with renovation and restoration projects
• Basic math skills for mixing paints and calculating measurements accurately
• Experience with carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, framing, fixture installation, or remodeling is a plus
• Knowledge of industrial painting processes including industrial coatings or welding is advantageous
• Ability to work safely at heights using ladders or scaffolding while adhering to safety standards
• Handyman experience or general maintenance skills that support diverse project needs
