EXPERIENCED (5+ Years) CONCRETE FINISHER – FLATWORK

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Concrete Finisher specializing in flatwork to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering top-quality concrete finishing on various projects, ensuring smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing surfaces. Duties

• Prepare concrete surfaces by setting forms, installing rebar, and ensuring proper alignment using blueprint reading and schematics. Read grades, check levels, and deliver clean finishes
• Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and finishing machines to achieve precise results.
• Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, broom, troweling, edging, and applying textures or patterns as specified in project plans.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery of materials like concrete and manage the flow of work on-site.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the process to meet safety standards, project specifications, and aesthetic requirements.
• Assist with related tasks such as rebar installation, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, and minor carpentry or roofing as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling tools and heavy lifting tasks.
• Finish commercial & residential flatwork (slabs, sidewalks, driveways, pads)
• Work fast, safe, and professional—no babysitting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a concrete finisher with a focus on flatwork in commercial or residential settings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of construction tools, equipment operation, and schematics interpretation.
• Skilled in concrete forming, finishing techniques, rebar installation, and blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes and renovation projects is a plus.
• Ability to operate power tools, heavy machinery (such as concrete pumps), and perform heavy lifting safely.
• Knowledge of related trades including masonry, carpentry (trim carpentry), metal stud framing, roofing, tile laying, flooring installation, welding, caulking, plastering, stucco application, restoration work, and heavy equipment operation.
• Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for site transportation needs.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
