Experienced and Reliable Full Time Nanny Needed for 2 Boys

A friendly family in Newton, MA, is seeking a reliable, experienced full-time nanny/family assistant to care for their two boys, ages 6.5 and 2.5. This long-term, live-out position is ideal for a caregiver who can balance childcare and household support while creating a positive, fun, and engaging environment for the children.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant childcare experience
• CPR, First Aid
• COVID, Flu & TDap vaccines
• Non-smoker
• Comfortable caring for multiple children
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; family car available for use

Responsibilities

• Provide care for two children, including pick-ups from school, transport to extracurricular activities, and age-appropriate play and learning activities
• Prepare simple meals and snacks, including lunch and dinner
• Support routines and daily schedules
• Assist with homework and educational support as needed
• Plan and organize fun, engaging activities both in and out of the home
• Manage household laundry
• Make children's beds and maintain the organization of bedrooms.
• Keep common spaces clean and tidy
• Run errands as needed
• Balance a positive, fun, and lighthearted environment while prioritizing children’s safety and developmental needs
• Occasionally, provide flexible support for date nights or special events

About the FamilyBoth children attend school and will most often be dropped off by mom before the nanny arrives. Mom and the nanny will “divide and conquer”, but the family is looking for a nanny who can confidently manage both boys and their schedules as needed. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a collaborative environment while also maintaining a sense of independence. Dad works from home in a separate space and will pop in from time to time. The boys are high-energy and curious, and the family is hoping to find a long-term nanny who is excited to get the kids out and about, keep them engaged, and add fun and creativity to their days.

Position Details

• Start Date: March 2, 2026 (some flexibility in either direction)
• Compensation: $35–$40/hour, based on experience, taxes withheld
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM.

The family will guarantee 40–45 hours per week based on the nanny’s preference. Hours will fall within the 8:00 AM–6:00 PM window, and occasional flexibility for date nights or schedule adjustments is appreciated, with plenty of notice.
