Experienced Bar Lead - Layline

Job Overview
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Bar Lead to join our vibrant team at Layline in Excelsior. In this role, you'll be the lead of our bar operations, ensuring every guest enjoys a top-notch experience with expertly crafted drinks and outstanding hospitality and service. Duties

• Lead and oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service during busy nights.
• Train and mentor bartenders and bar staff to uphold high standards of drink quality and customer service.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper food safety and food handling practices are followed.
• Ensure the execution of the cocktail menu is done accurately and in an organized fashion.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to health regulations and safety protocols.
• Engage with guests to provide personalized service, answer questions about drinks or menu items.
• Work well with Layline management, Director of Beverage and ownership in continuing the improvement and betterment of Layline.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bar Lead or similar role in hospitality, especially within fine dining or casual restaurant environments.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during peak hours smoothly.
• Demonstrated ability in sales, upselling drinks, and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Experience in catering or food industry settings is a plus; retail math skills are also valuable.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and potentially lunch time / day time prep shifts.

Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
