experienced Bartender

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following standard recipes
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations when necessary
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and adhere to food safety standards
- Check identification to ensure customers meet legal drinking age
- Upsell additional products when appropriate
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely drink service

We are open Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Very busy on University of Michigan basketball games.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role
- Proficient in using cash registers and Aloha POS system is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of retail math for handling transactions and calculating change
- Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain accuracy in transactions
- Exceptional hospitality skills with a customer-focused approach
- Understanding of food safety regulations
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating orders

Must stay after hours to help clean up your area
