Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of beverages to our patrons. Your primary goal will be to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure that guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Greet customers warmly and take their drink orders promptly and accurately.
2. Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks, following standard recipes and procedures.
3. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking and replenishing supplies, cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
4. Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, offering recommendations, answering questions, and providing excellent service throughout their visit.
5. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, processing payments and managing tabs in accordance with company policies.
6. Monitor and manage inventory levels, specifically supplies and beer required for your shift, to ensure adequate stock availability.
7. Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines, including checking identification and refusing service to intoxicated individuals when necessary.
8. Collaborate with other team members and managers to ensure smooth operation and teamwork across all aspects of the establishment.
9. Uphold company standards for quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction at all times.
10. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge of beverage preparation techniques and products.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a fast-paced bar environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, recipes, and mixology.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Completion of the NYC Food Protection Course and exam; holding a food handlers license. Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) is preferred.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
