Experienced Bench Jeweler – Smithworks Jewelers

mithworks Jewelers is seeking an experienced, full-time Bench Jeweler to join our established, high-end independent jewelry store in South Carolina. This role is ideal for a seasoned jeweler who wants steady hours, excellent compensation, and the opportunity to focus on bench work without the burden of running a business.

About the Role

This position is being created as part of a long-term transition plan. Our senior jeweler of nearly 20 years is gradually reducing hours and moving toward retirement. You would step into a key role with plenty of space, support, and stability, with the long-term opportunity to become our lead bench jeweler.

What You’ll Do

• Perform high-quality bench work including:
• Ring sizing and repairs
• Stone setting and resetting
• Platinum work
• Laser welding
• Work on custom repairs and modifications (CAD and casting are outsourced)
• Maintain exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail
• Collaborate with a small, professional team in a respectful work environment

What We’re Looking For

• 8–10+ years of professional bench jeweler experience
• Strong skills in:
• Platinum work
• Stone setting
• Laser welding
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Pride in craftsmanship and consistency
• Strong communication skills and professionalism

• Salary: $90,000–$125,000, depending on experience

Schedule
