Experienced Bookkeeper

Koss Accounting Solutions is growing, and we are looking for an experienced accounting professional who can support client bookkeeping, month-end close, and financial reporting.

This is a part-time hybrid position based in Racine, WI. We are looking for someone local who can work independently, take ownership of their work, and grow with the company.

Responsibilities

• Code bank and credit card transactions accurately
• Enter and code vendor invoices
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Assist with month-end close
• Maintain clean books across multiple clients
• Apply class tracking, locations, and multi-entity coding
• Identify discrepancies and follow through on resolution
• Communicate clearly on questions or missing information

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (required)
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and reconciliations
• Experience supporting month-end close
• Ability to work independently without step-by-step direction
• Strong computer skills are required

You must be comfortable with:

• Navigating multiple systems and software platforms
• Saving, organizing, and retrieving documents
• Working in Excel (open, review, basic navigation and use)
• Managing files and folders efficiently
• Switching between tools (QBO, email, spreadsheets, shared drives) without confusion

This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who is confident and efficient using a computer in a professional setting.

Preferred Experience

• Public accounting or multi-client bookkeeping experience
• Experience with class tracking or multi-entity environments
• Prior work with small businesses or nonprofits

Schedule & Location

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
