- Keep client books organized and accurate in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Xero
- Manage transaction coding and receipt organization using tools like Hubdoc or Double
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts
- Function as a month-end close preparer and/or reviewer, completing month-end tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Track transactions by class or property, as applicable
- Create monthly adjusting journal entries for merchant accounts or payroll corrections
- If applicable, calculate and file sales tax on behalf of clients
- If applicable, conduct vendor and transaction reviews to determine 1099 eligibility

- Follow through without repeated reminders
- Learn new tools and workflows quickly from SOPs, videos, and examples
- Stay organized while managing a steady flow of information
- Troubleshoot independently before escalating
- Are comfortable reaching out to support to solve tech issues
⠀
This is a hands-on role that requires proactive communication, reliable follow-through, and strong ownership of assigned work.
⠀
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- U.S.-based with secure, reliable internet
- Availability for a 2–3 hour block between 10 AM–3 PM EST
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero
- Familiarity with G Suite, Slack, ClickUp, and collaborative inboxes
- Familiarity with payroll platforms such as Gusto and ADP
- Familiarity with e-commerce bookkeeping workflows and tools such as Shopify, Bookkeep, and Avalara
- Strong experience with bank reconciliations, adjusting entries, payroll corrections, sales tax filings, and 1099 preparation
- Ability to complete detailed month-end close prep and/or review work with a sharp eye for errors, inconsistencies, and irregularities
- Experience conducting and/or participating in client meetings
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
⠀
Bonus Points
- Prior experience supporting e-commerce clients
- Experience reviewing or quality-checking another bookkeeper’s work
- Experience with class or property tracking
- Comfort troubleshooting tech or platform issues with vendors/support teams
- Experience with Double, Hubdoc, or similar workflow/documentation tools
- Experience working in an accounting firm or multi-client environment
- The kind of attention to detail where you catch the one typo, duplicate transaction, or missing decimal everyone else missed
⠀
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
- 100% remote and flexible schedule
- Supportive, approachable team that values clarity and autonomy
- Space to grow into advanced client management or accounting work
- A workplace that respects balance and keeps things human
