Experienced CDL Licensed Dump Truck Driver

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our construction and heavy equipment operation team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating dump trucks and other heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment. Candidates with a background in construction site work and familiarity with equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, and tanker trucks are highly preferred. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining safety and operational excellence.

Duties

• Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other construction supplies across job sites
• Safely load and unload materials using associated heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and tankers
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites by coordinating with other heavy machinery operators
• Conduct routine inspections of dump trucks and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Maintain accurate logs of materials transported and daily vehicle inspections
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to meet project timelines and safety standards
• Perform minor mechanical troubleshooting or maintenance as needed to keep vehicles operational

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license preferred
• Familiarity with excavator, dozer, loader operation, backhoe operation, grader operation, water truck handling, tanker driving, horizontal drilling equipment, and paving machinery
• Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and procedures
• Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery or similar brands effectively
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects or in similar environments
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site personnel
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and working in outdoor conditions for extended periods
